About the Talk
The talk focuses on two different topics each of which hold an important place in current trends in computer science and cryptocurrencies. It will highlight the ongoing trends and important work being done in the area of Big Data and also elaborate upon Bitcoins, something which has currently captured the world's fascination, straight from respected experts in the fields who are based in Germany.

Arsalan Minhas
Arsalan Minhas is serving as the Director of Solution Consulting for Central Europe at OpenText. For the last 17 years, he and his team have been advising, consulting and successfully coaching the top executives of the global fortune 1000 companies across the globe to transform their business models and to enable them to become the digital disrupters in their respective sectors. He is listed in the 2009 Edition of Marquis “Who’s Who in the World” as one of the world’s foremost achievers in his field and in "Top 100 Professionals 2009" by International Biographical Centre (IBC), Cambridge, England. For his services to IEEE, he was awarded with the “GOLD Leadership Award” by the IEEE Regional Activities Board in year 2002. He can be followed at LinkedIn or his YouTube Channel. Arsalan did his graduation in Computer Systems Engineering in 2001 from the NED University of Engineering & Technology and was the gold medallist of his batch. He did his Masters with distinction in Information & Communication Systems from Hamburg University of Technology. Dr. Humera Noor Minhas
Dr. Humera Noor was born with a passion for teaching, which led her to join the Computer & Information Systems Engg. dept. at NED University right after graduation from the same field. She developed an interest in Artificial Intelligence during her undergraduate studies and decided to pursue her doctorate in Machine Learning and Computer Vision. Her stay at University of Central Florida during PhD and later at Technische Universität München for postdoc let her dig deeper into image processing, visual perception and assistive robots. After spending over a decade in academia, Dr. Humera joined Cliqz three years ago, which is a startup in Munich, Germany aiming to revolutionize the Internet by combining the power of data, browsers and search. Here she got to work first-hand with big data. Currently she is taking care of a team of analysts, engineers and students as a Quality Program Manager and pursuing her love of teaching by looking after "Cliqz University" - the technical on-boarding program at Cliqz.
