Mr. Wasif A. Rizvi, President of Habib University today announced that Habib University\u2019s current Vice President of Academic Affairs (VPAA) and Dean of Faculty, Dr. Christopher S. Taylor, will be transitioning to a similar role at the Al Akhawayn University in Morocco starting 1st August, 2021.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In a message to the Habib University community earlier today, President Rizvi paid tribute to Dr. Taylor\u2019s dedication and services to the university, especially his untiring efforts which allowed the university to take strides in its aims to be counted amongst the world\u2019s top centers of academic excellence.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile we are sad that Dr. Taylor will soon be leaving Karachi, we are very glad that this will not end his connection to and engagement with us,\u201d President Rizvi said, about the possibility of\u00a0 collaboration between Habib University and Al Akhawayn University in the coming years.<\/p>\n

In the interim, President Rizvi announced that Dr. Aamir Hasan, Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering and the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Education and Accreditation at Habib University, will assume the position of Interim VPAA and Dean of Faculty effective 1st August, 2021.<\/p>\n

Dr. Taylor, who had joined Habib University in January 2019, from Drew University in Madison, New Jersey, said that serving as the VPAA and Dean of Faculty at Habib University had been an enormous privilege for him.<\/p>\n
