Dr. Munir Fasheh will expound on Yohsin and its significance for the goals of higher education.

Speaker Profile

Dr. Munir Fasheh holds an Ed.D. in Administration, Social Policy and Planning from Harvard University. With over 40 years of experience in education, in Palestine and the rest of the Arab world as well as the USA, Dr. Fasheh has been engaged in envisioning new modes of learning that transcend formal institutional settings.
During the first Palestinian intifada (late 1980s), he left academia, and established the Tamer Institute for Community Education, with the aim of protecting and providing “learning environments” especially for youth, through activities, projects, and seminars. In 1997, he established the Arab Education Forum (AEF) within Harvard University’s Center for Middle Eastern Studies. He currently resides in Palestine and serves as a board member and educational consultant for AEF.
